Stoneware made one pot at a time.

Cups, bowls and bottles thrown on the wheel, glazed by hand and fired in small batches. Every piece comes out of the kiln a little different.

The shop is closed while the kiln cools. New pieces arrive in spring.

From the last firing

The autumn batch sold out. These are the shapes we keep coming back to, and they will be in the next firing too.

Wide and shallow, for noodles, salad or fruit.

Back in spring

Ochre mug

Holds a generous 350 ml. Raw clay foot, so it sits steady.

How a pot gets made

Each piece takes about three weeks from a lump of clay to your shelf.

  1. Wedge

Knead the clay to push out air bubbles.

  2. Throw

Shape it on the wheel by hand.

  3. Trim

Carve the foot once it is leather-hard.

  4. Glaze

Dip in glazes we mix ourselves.

  5. Fire

Two firings, the last one at 1260 °C.

The studio

We are a two-person workshop. Orders reopen with each new firing, and every pot is packed by the same hands that made it.
